Video Games
Here are images from my video game collection.
NINTENDO
If memory serves, I received the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)as a gift after attending NCO training in Rapid City. There were some great games made for this system including Tecmo Bowl and the RBI Baseball series.
I currently have two Super Nintendo systems. One was picked up at a recent auction, and the other was found at a garage sale.
I also currently have two Nintendo 64 systems, also picked up at various auctions and sales.
SEGA
Many hours were spent playing this Sega Genesis system. Games were really starting to get good when this system came out. Madden Football was very popular, and Bill Walsh College Football was good. The best baseball game in my opinion was HardBall, with Tony LaRussa's game being close behind. Sports Talk Baseball was fun, but not too realistic.
I recently picked up this 16-bit Sega Genesis at an auction. I didn't even know they existed.
Here is a Sega Dreamcast console that I picked up at an antique store. The games for this system were good, but they were not able to compete with the Playstation and XBox due to the limited number of game titles, among other things. This was kind of the end of Sega's run as a player in the video game market.
SONY
Here is my original Sony Playstation.
Here is the first Playstation 2 that I bought, but had smoke damage and doesn't work well. I replaced it with another.
OTHER
Here is an XBox that I received as a gift.
Here is an Intellivision system I bought through an EBay auction. The games were pretty advanced at the time, but the controllers are difficult to use.
We won this Atari 2600 at a school raffle. I went through several controllers...Decathalon was very hard on them. I liked the Mattell sports games the best.
The above two systems were picked up at auctions. I haven't had a chance to hook them up and test them yet.
Here is where it all started for me. This was a Christmas gift from dad. For awhile, we were the cool family in town.
